PFRDA Grade A Eligibility 2026
Eligibility depends on the stream.
General
The General stream accepts several qualification routes, including a Master’s degree, Bachelor’s degree in Law or Engineering, and specified professional qualifications such as CA, CS, CMA and CFA.
Research
The Research stream includes specialised postgraduate qualifications such as Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Statistics, Finance and Big Data Analytics, among others.
Actuary
Candidates need graduation plus the required seven Core Principles subjects of the Institute of Actuaries of India examination.
Age Limit
The candidate must generally be 30 years or below as on 31 July 2026, subject to applicable relaxations.
PFRDA Grade A Salary 2026
PFRDA states that the gross emoluments at the minimum of the Grade A scale are approximately ₹2.05 lakh per month, including applicable allowances and PFRDA’s NPS contribution.
The pay scale starts at ₹62,500 and progresses according to the notified scale.
Note: ₹2.05 lakh is approximate gross emoluments, not guaranteed in-hand salary.
PFRDA Grade A Selection Process
The recruitment has three stages:
Phase I → Phase II → Interview
Phase I
Paper 1 is common across streams and includes:
- English
- Quantitative Aptitude
- Reasoning
- General Awareness & Financial Sector
Paper 2 is stream-specific.
Phase II
Phase II includes a descriptive English paper and a stream-specific paper.
Final Selection
Final merit is based on:
Phase II: 85%
Interview: 15%
Phase I is only used for screening and is not counted in final merit.
